The DAP T50 piston port engine was produced to combat the kart
engine market being
taken over by the Yamaha KT100S engine . Unfortunately the DAP
engine was unable
to over throw the KT100S engine roller coaster , which would
have to be the most successfull
kart engine ever manufactured.
The DAP T90 reed engine is the first reed valve DAP manufactured
1978-1979 and released a later version T90R IN 1981 which had
larger oil holes for the main bearings and additional clearance on
the big end bearing thrust .
The T90 and T90R used the horizontal reed block mounted in the
bottom of the cylinder that feeds directly into the crankcase and
the transfer ports.
Cylinder head are the same casting but the recess machined in
the head to take the top of the liner is larger to accomodate the
Bore 50.7mm , Stroke 48.5mm , 100mm conrod.
The DAP T72 engine is TT ported long stroke engine ,
BORE 48.00mm , STROKE 54.00mm
DAP T77 TT PORT ROTARY VALVE ENGINE
This DAP T77 engine has been highly modified in the cylinder
ports and passages . The front boost port
has been increased in size and two extra smaller finger ports
added. These ports has increased the actual
size of the boost port by a considerable amount . Also there has
been two extra smaller ports one each side
of the exhaust port. The side transfer ports have been increased
in size and the crankcase ports have been
also increased in size to accommodate the cylinder port size
increase and the number of ports. These
modifications have taken a lot of time and is an example of the
extent the tuners when to in the early days.
DAP T91 REED ENGINE WAS THE SECOND REED ENGINE MANUFACTURED BY
COMPANY , THE FIRST BEING THE T90/T90R ENGINE. THE T90/T90R HAD
THE REED VALVE IN CYLINDER APOSSED TO THE T91 HAD THE MORE
CONVENTIONAL REED VALVE IN THE CRANKCASE , WHICH THIS METHOD IS
STILL USED IN MOST ENGINES TODAY.

THE TG14 IS A ROTARY VALVE ENGINE .
THIS ENGINE MANUFACTURED AFTER THE FIRST ENGINE [BA13] AND
WENT THROUGH TO THE
LATES 80's AS A SS20 WITH MANEY COSMETIC AND MECHANICAL CHANGES,
BUT THE BASIC
CONCEPT STAYED THE SAME. THE EARLY ENGINE USED THE POINTS
IGNITION AND BOWL
TYPE CARBURETOR. BORE 48.00mm.
PARILLA TT22 , ROTARY VALVE ENGINE.
IN 1974 THE TT22 WON THE CIK/FIA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN JUNIORS
THE TT22 IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE SS20 AND MANEY PARTS INTERCHANGE
MAIN DIFFERENCE THE THE BOOST PORT IS FEED FROM PASSAGE FROM
CRANKCASE AND NOT THROUGH A WINDOW IN THE PISTON AS THE SS20
This PCR REED was introduced into Australia in 1983 .
The BORE 50.00mm & STROKE 50.00mm , 100cc cap city
,classed as a short stroke engine.The reed block
is positioned across the top of the crankcase & enters the
engine at the base of the cylinder where the front
protruding legs of the liner is cut off to allow a better intake
flow into the crankcase. As most PCR engine this
has a 98mm conrod.
ROTAX ROTARY VALVE ENGINE 1983 . BORE 50.00mm STROKE 50.00mm
This engine was the first 100cc kart engine Rotax manufactured
back in 1983
Rotax had been manufacturing larger capacity engines for road
race karts . in
1983 they decided to enter the sprint kart world and has been
ROTAX 1989 ROTARY VALVE ENGINE BORE 50.05mm STROKE 50.00mm
The ROTAX rotary engines from the first kart 100cc rotary
in 1983 through to the 1989 engine. The most obvious change was
the shape of the cylinder head & fining . The rest of the
engine did not change much. Around the exhaust port /cylinder
fins were bridged and supported . The coil was mounted to the
side and the crankcase opened up between the fins.
TKM REED VALVE ENGINE IS A VERY STRONG REED ENGINE.

THE CRANKSHAFT COUNTER WEIGHTS ARE EXTENSIVELY MACHINED CHAMFER
OF THE INSIDE ON THE CRANK HALVES FOR BETTER INDUCTION PAST THE
YAMAHA MOTOR COMPANY DECIDED TO ENTER INTO THE INTERNATIONAL
